Now in its 11th year, the annual Walk’n Roll 4Education Community Event was bigger and better than ever before. Following a morning warm-up, students could choose between the 4km or 8km route around the neighbouring North York community. Upon returning to the Crawford Adventist Academy grounds, walkers and rollers were greeted by a food fair featuring Caribbean, Spanish and Filipino dishes – including fruits and vegetables from Yummy Market donated for the event – and festival, fun things like cotton candy, face painting, bouncy castles and a petting zoo. This year’s proceeds will go towards iPads for the classrooms at Main and East Campuses and to the Capital Campaign – Peel Campus.
